John Furnival

John was born in 1800 in Moreton cum Alcumlow, Astbury, Cheshire and his baptism took place on 21 December 1800 at St Mary's, Astbury, Cheshire.¹ John's father was Joseph Furnival and his mother was Martha Oakes. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Furnivall and Ann Booth. He had a brother and five sisters, named Daniel, Mary, Martha, Sarah, Hannah and Ann. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 52 in 1852.

  There also children Elizabeth (9) and Joseph (2) living with them, who are said to be John's neice and nephew. They appear to be Ann's children.
  
  Also note that Leatitia Furnivall of Smallwood is a lodger next door.
