Joseph Furnival

Joseph was born in January 1768 in Astbury, Cheshire and his baptism took place on 30 January 1768 at St Mary's, Astbury, Cheshire.¹ Joseph's father was Daniel Furnivall and his mother was Ann Booth. His paternal grandparents were Randle Furnival and Mary Cumberbach; his maternal grandparents were Timothy Booth and Charlotte Booth. He had two sisters named Ann and Hannah. He died at the age of 78 in 1846 in Congleton, Cheshire.

General Notes
- Born in 1768 in Asbury. The LDS IGI says he is "of Lawton", but this is just derived from his marriage record (1792).
  
  Church Lawton is between Alsager and Kidsgrove off the A50 and by the Trent & Mersey canal ("heartbreak hill").
