Martha Booth

Martha was born in 1735 in Moreton cum Alcumlow, Astbury, Cheshire and her baptism took place on 12 August 1735 at St Mary's, Astbury, Cheshire.¹ Martha's father was Timothy Booth and her mother was Charlotte Booth. Her paternal grandparents were Timothy Booth and Elizabeth Shaw; her maternal grandparents were Moses Booth and Martha Beckett. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Timothy, John, Thomas, Mary, Charlotte, Ann, Jane and Sarah.
