Thomas Bennion

Thomas was born in 1738 in Ruyton of the Eleven Towns, Shropshire and his baptism took place on 21 May 1738 at St John the Baptist, Ruyton of the Eleven Towns, Shropshire. Thomas's father was Robert Bennion and his mother was Esther Parks. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Bennion and Margaret Clark. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Edward, Robert, Sarah, Mary, Jane and Mary. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 90 on 18 July 1828 in Barthomley, Cheshire. The funeral took place on 21 July 1828 at St Bertoline, Barthomley.

General Notes
- It looks like Thomas Bennion was born in Ruyton of the Eleven Towns, Shopshire, baptised 21 May 1738 (LDS IGI).
  
  Although I originally thought he should originate from Cheshire, the evidence for Shropshire follows: Thomas and Sarah Bennion were married to Mary and Thomas Martin, respectively, in St Bertoline, Barthomley, Cheshire. Mary and Thomas Martin are definitely sister and brother, so it seems reasonable that Thomas and Sarah Bennion are, too. I can't find baptisms for Thomas and Sarah in Cheshire, but there are baptisms for both of them in Ruyton, and both with the same parents: Robert Bennion & Esther Parks. So it is quite reasonable that Thomas and Sarah Bennion from Ruyton are the same pair that married the Martins in Barthomley.
