John Bennion

John was born in 1801 in Barthomley, Cheshire and his baptism took place on 26 March 1801. John's father was John Bennion and his mother was Mary Cookson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Bennion and Mary Martin; his maternal grandparents were John Cookson and Rebecca Croxton. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Joseph, William, Henry and Rebecca. He was the third oldest of the six children.
