George was born on 14 February 1736 and his baptism took place on 6 September 1736.  George's father was Thomas Senior and his mother was Hannah Hunt.  His maternal grandparents were James Hunt and <Unknown>. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, Thomas, Edward, Thomas, Benjamin, Martha, Sarah and Hannah.  He was the oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 70 on 24 December 1806.
