John was born on 9 December 1785.  John's father was Benjamin Senior and his mother was Sarah Webb.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Senior and Hannah Hunt; his maternal grandmother was Catherine Webb. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Benjamin, Samuel, Mary, Mary, Catherine and Hannah.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 20 on 26 November 1806.  His burial was on 29 November 1806 at St Helen's, Witton, Northwich, Cheshire.
