John Booth

John was born in 1650. John's father was Thomas Booth and his mother was Catherine Buckley. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Timothy, Joan and Ann. He was the youngest of the five children.

General Notes
- Notes at RootsWeb say "He was described as 'quondam lanius'" (that is, 'formerly a butcher')
  
  This also gives his marriage date as 20 Apr 1674 in St Mary's Church, Astbury and his Christening date as 17 May 1695 but this seems quite unlikely as he would not have been married in church without being baptised.
  
  I did also have note of John's baptism on 11 Mar 1674 at Astbury (i.e. a few weeks before his marriage) but I didn't record where I found that date so that remains uncertain.
  
  In neither case does the baptism date reflect John's birthdate, which I estmate at about 1650.
