Aaron was born in 1680 in Smallwood, Cheshire and his baptism took place on 8 May 1680 at St Mary's, Astbury, Cheshire.  Aaron's father was Thomas Booth and his mother was Sarah Simpson.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Booth and Catherine Buckley. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Moses, Jedidiah, Sarah, Miriam and Ellen.  He was the second oldest of the six children.
