Bridget was born on 27 November 1883 in Foxford, Ireland. Bridget's father was Martin Murphy and her mother was Sarah (Sally) Hoban. Her paternal grandparents were Patt Murphy and Winifred Connor; her maternal grandparents were Patt Hoban and Mary McNulty. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Patrick, John, Martin, Mary, Nellie and Winifred. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 79 on 31 December 1962.
