Catherine Hitchens

Catherine was born in 1848. Catherine's father was John Hitchens and her mother was Mary Raynor. Her maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Catherine Raynor. She had two sisters named Mary and Ann. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 89 on 26 March 1937.

  Baptised (as Katherine Hitchins) 13 Aug 1848 in Witton cum Twambrooks. Parents are John and Mary Hitchins. (LDS IGI)
  
  Not found in 1851 or 1861 censuses. As her sister Ann was born in America in 1853, perhaps the family had emigrated.

  Witton Street, Rayner's Row, Witton. Assistant Teacher. Age 22. (1871 Census, RG10/3697/101/P30). Living with her sisters Mary and Ann, but parents are not at home.
