John Hitchens

  Married Mary Raynor in 1846. (I had originally misidentified him as John Hitchen married in Cheshire in Q3-1847 to either
  Mary Whitby or Mary Maddock, but a correspondent has identified his wife as Mary Raynor.)
  
  Not found in 1851-1861 UK censuses. Probably emigrated to America, since his daughter Ann was born in New York.
  
  Found as John Hichins in the index to US 1860 Census in the Town of New Lots, Borough of Kings, New York (from index on LDS website).
