Timothy was born in 1713 and his baptism took place in May 1713 at St Mary's, Astbury, Cheshire.1   Timothy's father was Timothy Booth and his mother was Elizabeth Shaw.  His maternal grandparents were Henry Shaw and Dorothy Lowndes. He had a brother named Timothy.  He was the younger of the two children.
