Robert was born in 1703 and his baptism took place on 12 February 1703.  Robert's father was Thomas Bennion and his mother was Margaret Clark.  His paternal grandparents were William Bennion and Elizabeth Postle; his maternal grandparents were Robert Clark and Mary. He had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, Joseph and Mary.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 71 in 1774.  His burial was on 9 March 1748.
