St Marie's Infant and Junior schools were Catholic schools founded in 1861 and associated with St Marie's parish, Widnes. In the 1950s, the Infants' and Girls' Junior schools were in George Street, but the Boys' Junior school was in Lugsdale Road. On a 1905 map of Widnes, a school is shown in George Street, but not in Lugsdale Road.
The Boys' and Girls' schools were merged in 1975 on the Lugsdale Road site. When St Patrick's parish was closed in 1993, the schools of St Marie's and St Patrick's were amalgamated, and renamed St Gerard's.
