George Senior

George was born on 26 January 1792 in Northwich, Cheshire and his baptism took place on 19 February 1792 at St Helen's, Witton, Northwich, Cheshire. George's father was Thomas Senior and his mother was Margaret Bromfield. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Senior and Hannah Hunt; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Broomfield and Elizabeth Hill. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Thomas, John, Hannah and Hannah. He was the youngest of the six children.

  This may be the George Senior whose birth is recorded as 26 Jan 1792 in the IGI, but this does not tie up with the ages recorded in the census records above, which should be 49, 59, and 69. However, a birth in 1792 is consistent with his marriage to Mary Dodd on 23 Aug 1813 (also in the IGI), when he would have been 21, and his wife is recorded as Maria in the census records.
