Ann was born in May 1822 and her baptism took place on 12 May 1822 at St Helen's, Witton, Northwich, Cheshire.  Ann's father was Samuel Senior and her mother was Charlotte Williams.  Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Senior and Sarah Webb. She had a brother and a sister, named Samual and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the three children.
