Ann was born on 14 March 1807.  Ann's father was Thomas Senior and her mother was Nancy Jackson.  Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Senior and Sarah Webb; her maternal grandmother was Ann Jackson. She had six brothers and four sisters, named John, William, William, George, Peter, George, Sarah, Sarah, Kitty and Maria.  She was the oldest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 37 in 1844.
