George was born in 1821.  George's father was Peter Robinson and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Bowyer.  His paternal grandparents were Isaac Robinson and Nancy; his maternal grandparents were George Bower and Nancy. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Isaac, Thomas, William, James, Sarah and Mary.
