General Notes
- Married Henry in Runcorn in Civil Ceremony about 1866 -1870, (Cheshire BMD) Had two sons by her first marriage, Joseph Henry and Alfred. They were living with their Grandmother in 1871 aged 5 and 4 resp. Martha Bate was a grocer in Lowlands Road and by 1881 Joseph is staying with Henry and Emma. By 1891 he's in Chorlton upon Medlock, a paint and Paperhanger, married to Ellen Slater aged 27 from Manchester and the father of Lilly 3; Ada 2 and David Henry aged 5 months. He also has staying with him Martha griffiths and although it says Mother in Law I think it may be his grandmother as she says she's from Cadishead and she's 67.
