John Fleetwood & Elizabeth Birchby

John and Elizabeth were married on 14 October 1771. They had four sons and two daughters, named Thomas, William, John, James, Ellen and Betty.

- John Fleetwood and Elizabeth Birchly [sic] Married in Huyton, Lancashire. (LDS IGI).
  
  From Lancashire Record Office film DRL/2/4. Bishop's Transcript for St Michael, Huyton, 1771:
  Banns of Marriage between John Fleetwood & Elizabeth Birchby both of this parish were married in the Church by licence from McGwyn this fourteenth Day of October in the year one Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy one by Me, Thos. Mallory, Vicar. This marriage was solemnized between us John Fleetwood Elizth Birchby X her Mark in the Presence of Roger Winstandley, Samuel Low.
  
  There are marriage records in the IGI for both Elizabeth Birchly and Birchby. I have only seen the Bishop's Transcript which is Birchby, but the original record might well be Birchly.

  Thomas was born on 29 December 1771 and his baptism took place on 19 January 1772.
  
  Ellen Fleetwood
  Ellen was born on 9 September 1774 and her baptism took place on 9 October 1774.
  
  William Fleetwood
  William was born on 13 February 1777 and his baptism took place on 9 May 1777.
  
  Betty Fleetwood
  Betty was born on 22 February 1779 and her baptism took place on 28 March 1779. She died at the age of 1 on 27 September 1780.
  
  John Fleetwood
  John was born on 10 January 1782 and his baptism took place on 10 February 1782.
  
  James Fleetwood
  James was born on 10 March 1786 and his baptism took place on 9 April 1786.
