Bridget Cannon

Bridget was born in 1828. She died at the age of 84 in 1912.

- Born about 1828 in Ireland (Co. Leitrim).
  Married James Bohan, but I can't find a date.
  There is a Bridget Boughan in Corrabarrack township, Fenagh Parish, in Griffith's Valuation. Curbarrick (or Corrabarrack) is where her daughter Mary (Maria) was born.

  17 Park Lane, Oldbury (close to her daughter, Maria). Age 56. (1891 Census, RG12/2266/50/P3)
  
  Possibly in St Joseph's Home for the aged poor (run by the Little Sisters of the Poor), in Harborne, King's Norton. Age 71. (1901 Census, RG13/2818/47) St Joseph's is still active.
  
  King's Norton Union Workhouse, Selly Oak, Birmingam. Age 80. Name given as Bridgett Bowen, birthplace Birmingham. (1911 Census, RG14/17884/9999). King's Norton Workhouse later became Selly Oak Hospital.
  
  May be the Bridget Bowen whose death at 79 was registered in Birmingham in 1912. However, the ages on the 1891, 1901, and 1912 records don't tie up very well.
